Information on how to enter the competition to win a Haier Oven HWO60S14TPB2 forms part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. This offer is not valid in conjunction with any other offer, unless otherwise advised.
This competition is only open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and the Influencer (Nicola Scruby), are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister or 1st cousin.
Only one entry per person. The promoter may verify the age of entrants.
To enter the competition, you must, during the Competition Period, go to the Haier website via Nicola Scruby’s affiliate link which Nicola Scruby will share on her Instagram channel: https://www.instagram.com/the__unrefined/ , and opt-in to the Haier newsletter with a valid email address (and remain subscribed until at least the Selection Date), and tell us in 25 words or less “Describe your perfect weekend meal with a Haier oven”.
This is a game of skill, and chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged based on how creative the answer is (see the “ Judging Criteria ” below for more details).
You are not permitted to use any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows you to automatically enter or enter repeatedly.
The competition commences AEST 12.01am 22 August 2025 and closes 11.59pm AEST 22 September 2025 (‘ Competition Period ’). Entries received after this date will be ineligible.
The winner will be chosen on Monday 29 September 2025 (‘ Selection Date ’).
The Promoter may announce the winner on Nicola Scruby’s Instagram channel: https://www.instagram.com/the__unrefined/ and/or on the promoter’s website: https://www.haier.com.au/promotions . The winner will be contacted by the Promoter directly using the email address they provided in their entry form within 48 hours of the Selection Date, and the winner will be asked to supply contact details, including full name, delivery address, and phone number. Provision of contact details will enable the Promoter to supply their prize and will be deemed to be acceptance of the Prize by the winner.
If by the 13th October 2025 the winner does not accept the prize through the Promoter’s attempt(s) to contact them via email, the prize will be deemed forfeited. The Promoter reserves the right to award any forfeited prize to the next best entry based on the Judging Criteria.
The winner of this competition will be judged based on creativity of their entry in response to “Describe your perfect weekend meal with a Haier oven.” Entries must be 25 words or less. The Haier judge(s) will assess the theme of creativity through the submission’s uniqueness, how imaginative it is, and how innovative it is. All decisions by the Haier judge(s) are final and binding.
The prize is a Haier Oven HWO60S14TPB2 , valued at $1,599 RRP.
The winner must accept delivery of the prize no later than 27 October 2025.
The prize includes delivery only (valued at approximately $99). Installation of the oven is the sole responsibility of the winner and must be arranged at the winner’s own cost and expense. The Promoter accepts no liability for any costs, expenses, damages, or losses incurred by the winner as a result of or in connection with the installation, including but not limited to installation fees, plumbing, electrical work, or modifications required to accommodate the oven.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any costs not specifically included in the prize.
The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. Winners take the prize at entirely their own risk.
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter reserves the right to vary these Terms and Conditions without notice, to modify, reschedule or terminate the competition or to modify or extend the closing date and criteria of the competition at its discretion provided that only those terms and conditions in place at the time an entrant submitted their entry will apply to such entry.
The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant's identity, age, and place of residence) and to disqualify any person who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process.
The Promoter's decision is final on all matters related to this competition and no correspondence will be entered into.
Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for lost, delayed, misdirected or illegible entries. Incomplete, illegible or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid. Entries are deemed to be submitted at the time of receipt by the Promoter or its agents.
If any part of the prize is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value.
If this competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and/or due to circumstances which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant; or to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the competition.
Insofar as is permitted by applicable law, the Promoter and its agents will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable for any loss, damage, personal injury, or death arising in connection with the competition (including, but not limited to, liability arising in connection with: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction; (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after receipt by the Promoter); (d) any variation in prize value; (e) any tax liability incurred by a entrant; or (f) participation in the competition or use of a prize), except where it is caused by the negligence or wilful misconduct of the Promoter or its agents.
By entering the competition, the winner consents to take part in any publicity accompanying or resulting from this competition, and for his/her name and image to be used for publicity purposes by the Promoter in printed and/or online formats anywhere in the world without the need for further approval or compensation and for an unlimited period of time.
Any cost associated with accessing the competition website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
The Promoter (or its associated or affiliated companies or third parties who have licensed its brands to the Promoter or contributed to the application) (‘ Content Owner ’) own or license from third parties all application content. All application content remains the sole property of the applicable Content Owner and is protected under all relevant copyright, trade mark and other applicable laws. Nothing on the application should be construed as granting any license or rights to use or distribute any application content, without the Promoter's express written agreement or of the other applicable Content Owner.
The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the competition and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including, but not limited to suppliers and/or regulatory authorities, and/or use such information to contact the entrant in relation to this competition. The entry is conditional on providing this information. If the entrant marks the applicable box, the Promoter may use the entrant's personal information for the purposes specified at the time of collection. These Terms and Conditions are deemed to incorporate the Promoter’s Privacy Policy and by entering the competition, you accept the terms and conditions of the Promoter’s Privacy Policy .
The Promoter may announce and/or advertise this competition on Instagram and/or third party social media platforms. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Meta or other third party social media platforms. Participants understand that they are providing their information to the Promoter and/or agencies acting on its behalf and not to Meta or other third party social media platforms. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree that you fully release and will hold Meta and other third party social media platforms harmless from all liability arising in any way out of this competition.
If any provision or part-provision of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be deemed deleted, but that will not affect the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
