Haier leaves competitors in the wash
Monday 5 December 2005The Haier Corporation has secured a third place ranking in the global washing machine category as reported by an independent market research provider.
The survey, by European-based Euromonitor International, found that Haier had become a major brand after only 10 years in the whitegoods business sector.
This impact is partly due to Haier's continual dedication to research and development, diversification and innovation. Proving this, the company recently created double-voltage washing machines to cater to the Indian market which has a voltage variant between the official voltage of 220 volts and 260 volts. This resulted in the highest sales growth rate of washers in India in less than a year.
Haier's impact in Australia is already well known with a continued strong sales growth of the 5 kilo, top load washing machine model HWM5TL.
The HWM5TL has many smart features which include a hardwearing stainless steel wash bowl, variable water settings and a delay start option which allows the user to preset the wash time around their lifestyle.
It also offers a firm but gentle agitator action, a four program cycle which includes a Quick Wash option - perfect for when time is short or for items that are barely soiled and easy to read automatic controls to enure this washer is uncomplicated to use.
Haier Australia has confirmed it will strengthen its washing machine range in 2006 by adding larger capacity models that are both aesthetically pleasing and user friendly. This strategy is part of a global push to grow market share worldwide and underpins the global Haier positioning.
The Haier HWM5TL washing machine retails for $529 and is available from most Retravison stores nationally or call 1300 729 948.
